When Republicans brought their budget to the Senate floor last week, they were bracing for what is known on Capitol Hill as a “vote-a-rama,” in which Democrats would keep the Senate in session until the wee hours, but the “vote-a-rama” never materialized. Democrats simply stood down.
Why? They know that when Trump turns up the pressure, he’s going to win no matter what. Trump says we are about to “see things happen like they have never happened before.” Is it time to turn up the heat and make Democrats vote for tax reform OR ELSE?
