Sanders BEGS Liberals To Give Him Another Shot In 2020

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders (I.) will be holding two events in New Hampshire on Labor Day, fueling speculation that he may be considering another presidential run.

The New Hampshire AFL-CIO announced earlier this month that Sanders would be the keynote speaker at its Labor Day breakfast, held in Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Manchester, N.H.

According to Sanders’ event schedule, the independent will also host a Labor Day celebration in Concord shortly afterward.

After his stints in New Hampshire, Sanders will return to his home state for Labor Day events in White River Junction and Middlebury, Vt.

Sanders won the New Hampshire primary by more than 20 points when he ran for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination. His victory was heralded as a “painful blow” that kept his underdog campaign against frontrunner Hillary Clinton alive.

New Hampshire is the second state to vote in presidential primaries, after the Iowa caucuses, and is a key area where potential candidates seek to gain early support for White House bids, raising speculation that Sanders is contemplating another run.

The Vermont senator is keeping the door open to another presidential run, the Hill reported last month.

“Yes, is the answer,” one Sanders associate said when asked whether the senator was considering the presidency in 2020. “He thinks he’s earned the right to run again.”
