Steve Bannon Says The Trump Presidency As We Know it is OVER

The very thing that so many conservatives feared regarding the Trump presidency seems to be coming true, as liberal elements push their way into the White House.

Could this be the end of what so many fought so hard to achieve?

Stephen Bannon’s departure from the Trump White House was the source of much debate and consternation among conservatives. Many felt Bannon was the true conservative core of the Trump Administration.

It appears that Bannon may have felt the same.

In an interview with the Weekly Standard after leaving the White House, Bannon make the following shocking statement:

“The Trump presidency that we fought for, and won, is over. We still have a huge movement, and we will make something of this Trump presidency. But that presidency is over.”

Bannon explained that in recent weeks, Trump had surrendered to more conventional and even liberal elements within his administration.

If Trump’s presidency had been unprecedented and unique until now, Bannon said to expect something “much more conventional” going forward.

In particular, Bannon was one of the driving forces behind Trump’s “America First” policy, which we’ve already seen starting to crumble thanks to the influence of National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster and Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
