President Donald and First Lady Melania Trump touched down in Paris on Thursday for a much-anticipated visit with their French counterparts.
But immediately upon landing, Melania was first rushed to a local hospital for a stop she deemed more important than touring the sites with the leaders of France.
Melania was taken to Necker Hospital, where she met with patients in the children’s ward.
Most probably didn’t realize it until the hospital stop, but Melania Trump speaks French, and was able to converse warmly with the children.
A young patient named Ysatis spent time talking to the First Lady, and later told the Associated Press: “It was very pleasant and really good. She’s beautiful and gorgeous.”
Melania has made it a point to visit children’s hospitals during the president’s several overseas trips.
