Hasbro, the world’s third largest game and toy company, made what can only be described as a very poor business decision in service to the liberal agenda.
Gender–which is part of biology, an actual science–is so passé among liberals.
Not wanting to be left out of the party, Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he’s “eliminated” gender.
Now, that’s a strange move to make for a toy company, given that boys and girls typically gravitate toward distinctive sets of play things.
“We look at our brands more inclusively than ever. In fact, we eliminated the old delineation of gender,” insisted Goldner.
Hasbro acknowledged that My Little Pony still generally attracts girls, while most of those who buy Star Wars figures are boys. But the company’s doing everything in its power to attract the opposite gender to the different toy collections.
Golden also boasted that Hasbro’s revenue reporting no longer categorizes sales by “Boys/Girls/Games/Preschool.”
Because, apparently, that would just be too easy.
In addition to being plain old idiotic, this decision is VERY likely to hurt Hasbro as a company.
The ultra-liberals to whom they are pandering make up such a tiny percentage of the population.
And what’s more, its a sector of the population that typically has LESS CHILDREN.
You know who has a lot of kids, by comparison? Conservatives.
So, angering conservatives by wading into a controversial social issue in which a toy company need not get involved would seem like a very poor business decision.
Once this starts getting out to conservative parents, get ready to see Hasbro’s sales plummet.
