As the bot armies keep rolling along Media Matters trys to silence Sean Hannity

If you’ve spent more than three minutes on Twitter then no doubt you’ve seen the word “bot”. Usually the term is being used by one account accusing another account of being one (a bot that is). So what is a bot? A bot is a fake account, all dolled up to look real! It has an account name, a swell profile picture and perhaps it even follows a few real accounts. Typically you can spot a bot as it has no substance (weak tweeting history, i.e. retweets, likes, etc.) and it typically has less than 100 followers, it is becoming more difficult however as they become more sophisticated each day.

A ‘bot army’ is defined by the Free Dictionary as follows

“a group of computers, infected with malign programs via the internet, that can be controlled remotely to, for example, mount denial-of-service attacks”

As bad as denial of service attacks are (and they can be devastating) bot armies also pose a different threat. 50 or 60 individuals can create one and then act as if they are actually THOUSANDS of people! These few can then utilize their feigned outrage (or feigned adoration) to lend credence to a viewpoint by creating what seems to be support for a narrative, or for a person (such as a political candidate) or they can be used to facilitate the idea that a political pundit is more popular that they actually are, CNN (which is often (for good reason) referred to as the Certainly Not News network) was one of the early users of bot armies. According to a recent story appearing on neonettle.com http://www.neonnettle.com/news/1931-cnn-loses-credibility-caught-with-16m-fake-twitter-followers” The network was caught with a MASSIVE bot army that made up over ½ of their followers. In other words more fake accounts were following CNN than real accounts. In fact it is rather telling that CNN and other liberal media outlets are guilty of using the same evil tactics they have recently accused Russia of using in an attempt at influencing the 2016 election.

Once left leaning CNN mastered the technique of bot armies other left wing sites adopted and continued to perfect the practice. This resulted in bot armies eventually being utilized as a tool in one of the left’s favorite pastimes – attacking the advertisers of right wing political pundits.

Speaking of tools, David Brock head of the George Soros funded left wing hate site Media Matters has been a long time hater of all things conservative and is in all likelihood behind the recent bot army attacks on those companies who have been advertising on Hannity.

The Daily Caller took note of Brock’s outright hatred in the following article Http://dailycaller.com/2012/02/13/inside-media-matters-david-brocks-enemies-list/ which said “internal Media Matters For America memo obtained by The Daily Caller reveals that the left-wing media watchdog group employs an “opposition research” team to target its political enemies. Included in the list of targets are right-leaning websites, conservative think tanks, prominent financiers and donors, and more than a dozen specific Fox News Channel and News Corporation employees”

Of no surprise the Fox News Corporation list of employees identified in the memo were listed as

Glenn Beck

Sean Hannity

Bill O’Reilly

Of course Brock had his little fingers (which go nicely with little hands BTW) in the removal of both Beck and O’Reilly. It was no doubt the removal of O’Reilly which caused Brock to believe that he could topple anyone and everyone with his nefarious little army of bots. After all, O’Reilly was no small potatoes. One can only imagine (if for some disturbing reason they should want to) the thrill that coursed through Brock as he imagined himself another George Soros in the making! No doubt Brock wanted to turn some poor ethnic people over to some jack booted totalitarian regime or simply manipulate some countries currency in wild celebration.

But Brock had one more name on his list. Someone who had proven to be a little more difficult to remove, one Sean Hannity

Media Matters had been revising and growing their bot army and suddenly it seemed to some innocent little mattress maker as if thousands if not hundreds of thousands of crazed consumers had descended upon his company taking oaths that they would never buy his stuff. Prior to this onslaught the largest twitter response the company ever had was giving away pillows with each purchase (or something like that) and now they were being accused of tearing up the very fabric of America.

These advertisers didn’t realize that behind the onslaught of thousands was a group of 50 or 60 people churning out the hate. Their IT departments were fooled and so was management, which folded under the onslaught.

First of all Hannity is a patriot. No one with a pulse can really argue otherwise. Love him or loathe him you cannot question his unabashed love of country and his upmost respect for the men and women who serve (or have served) in it’s military forces.  It is a large part of what makes him the somewhat larger than life figure that he is. So it logically follows that those who watch or listen to Hannity are also patriots and indeed a great deal of the man’s audience is made up of veterans  people who tend to be the biggest patriots of all.

The other glaring mistake that Media Matters has made here is their purported reason for attacking Hannity and that is his investigation into the murder of Seth Rich. Certainly the desires of Rich’s family are important and need to be considered (which is why they controversy is only mentioned here in passing). However the amount of screaming, yelling, cursing and pearl clutching the left has employed in attempting to stop or distract from the Seth Rich story certainly suggests that something is rotten somewhere. No one who has followed politics more than a day or two could every be made to believe that the left is simply outraged that the man’s families wishes aren’t being honored. If they were Donald Trump’s family there is nothing the media could do or say that would be considered off limits by these same concerned citizens.

Hopefully Media Matters will fail utterly in their attempts to silence Hannity. Hopefully patriots everywhere will rise up and speak up for this man. Hopefully we (real walking, talking, breathing people) can still defeat the robots. Our very freedom depends upon it.
