Friday morning saw Hillary Clinton back in front of Wellesley College for the third time, giving a speech that further proves she isn’t finished being a sore loser. In her first real attempt at going after President Trump publicly since November, Clinton accused the President and his administration of being engaged in a “full-fledged assault on truth and reason.”
“When people in power invent their own facts and attack those who question them — it can mark the beginning of the end of a free society,” she said. “That is not hyperbole, it is what authoritarian regimes throughout history have done.”
Clinton’s self-serving comments fall in line with her newly announced political action group, Onward Together, created solely for the purpose of battling President Trump and his policies. Right now, it appears Clinton’s crosshairs are on the President’s budget, calling the plan “an attack of unimaginable cruelty on the most vulnerable among us.”
But who is us? Hillary’s wealth is no secret, and accusing someone of inventing facts may indeed be hyperbole when you consider the source.
“If our leaders lie about the problems we face, we will never solve them,” Hillary said, before bursting into a coughing fit that lasted nearly the entire speech. Maybe the hypocrisy was too much to swallow, or maybe the rumors are true that Clinton has been struggling greatly with her loss. Either way, the questions surrounding Hillary’s health and wellbeing only offer another reason why America is grateful she wasn’t elected.
