Two loud explosions were reported at the concert of pop star Ariana Grande last night at approximately 10:30PM Manchester local time.
The Manchester Police have now confirmed a number of fatalities and injuries, with reports stating 22 dead and over 50 injured. Ariana Grande herself made it out unharmed, but so far two people have been confirmed as killed during the attacks – an 18-year-old college student and an 8-year-old girl who was at the concert with her mother and sister, both of whom were taken to a nearby hospital for their injuries.
No official reason has been given for a motive to the attacks, although the signs all point towards a terror attack.Police in the area shut down public transportation and sealed off the subway systems.
