Clint Eastwood has signed on with Warner Bros to direct a movie about three American heroes who stopped a terrorist attack on-board a train in France.
The 86-year-old actor and filmmaker will do the film adaptation of the book,”The 15:17 to Paris: The True Story of a Terrorist, a Train, and Three American Heroes,” written by Anthony Sadler, National Guard Specialist Alex Skarlatos, Airman 1st Class Spencer Stone, and Jeffrey E. Stern, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The movie will focus on what the three men went through on the train from Brussels to Paris in August of 2015 when they overpowered a man armed with an AK-47, stopping him from going on a killing spree.
Eastwood has had huge success as of late with his other films about American heroes. “American Sniper” — about Navy Seal Chris Kyle’s life in and out of the battlefield — earned $547 million dollars and six Oscar nominations and “Sully”–about airline pilot Captain Chesley “Sully “Sullenberger who safely landed his plane in the Hudson River — earned $240 million worldwide.
