Rachel Maddow really screwed herself when she claimed on Twitter that she had Trump’s tax returns, and then proceeded to reveal a 12-year-old 1040 form on live TV.
Unfortunately for Maddow, it doesn’t matter that the taxes she had – which showed Trump paid MORE taxes than he needed – were old. It is STILL a violation of federal law to release that information without consent:
