POLL: Does The U.S. Army Need To Invest In ‘Biodegradable’ Ammunition?

As protectors of this country, the United States Army spends a lot of money on weapons and ammunition – but the shells from fired rounds are rarely recycled, and have – over time – become a serious mess.
The Army has considered purchasing biodegradable ammunition, so that spent rounds will eventually become part of the Earth. Is this expense necessary?
