Trump’s Latest Cabinet Pick Is a Giant ‘Screw You’ To Obama Administration

Share this:

Donald Trump is currently taking advice and choosing people to be part of his cabinet when he takes the oath of office on January 20th, 2017. It is to be expected that Trump will fill these positions with people that are Republican and conservative in nature.

We’ll probably see people like Rudy Giuliani get offered a position (he’s the front runner for Secretary of State), or Ben Carson get offered Surgeon General (though he’s said he won’t accept any offer from Trump, we think he’ll change his tone once it’s offered in full), but who Trump just offered the position of “National Security Advisor” to is someone that’s a HUGE middle finger to the Obama presidency, in full.

Trump just offered it to the exact same general Obama fired, Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.

President-elect Donald Trump has offered retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn the post of national security adviser, a transition official told Fox News Thursday night.

The official said that Flynn had not yet officially accepted Trump’s offer.

Flynn, who served as the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) between 2012 and 2014, has advised Trump on national security issues for months. As national security adviser, he would work in the White House and have frequent access to the president.

The position does not require confirmation by the Senate. Whoever holds it is typically shielded from congressional requests to testify or produce documents.

So essentially Trump can appoint this position free of charge. Awesome. If you remember your recent history, this is the same man who criticized Barack Obama for not putting enough effort into fighting ISIS and was consummately fired because of it. That’s gotta sting.

After leaving the DIA, Flynn became a virulent critic of the Obama administration and the Pentagon. He took issue with a wide range of national security policies, including the administration’s approach to fighting ISIS and, more generally, its handling of global affairs.

Flynn asserted that he had been forced out of the DIA because he disagreed with the administration’s approach to combating extremism.

So why is the left so against him? So he spoke out about the mishandling of ISIS. There’s infighting in administrations all the time.

In recent public comments, including his fiery address at July’s Republican National Convention, Flynn has emphasized his view that the threat posed by ISIS requires a more aggressive U.S. military.

Flynn is also a champion of renegotiating the Iran nuclear deal, another foreign policy theme Trump pushed during the campaign.

There it is! No wonder Obama wanted him out, he opposed the deal that gave Iran a clear path to NUCLEAR WEAPONS. I think I love this pick more than any yet.

Donald Trump seems to making all the right moves in choosing those who will be closest to him. I can’t wait to have this conversation in a year, two years, or three years time when America realizes that Trump is the best thing that has ever happened to this country.
