Perhaps I’m being a bit cynical about Goldberg’s “on again, off again” theatrics, however I’m beginning to smell a very clever ruse taking place with these pathetic “B-list” celebrities and perhaps even with ABC’s “The View” and their abysmal ratings.
In that no doubt Donald Trump is very good for ratings and it seems that if one hooks their faltering careers to Trump they stay in the news…just think how many times Whoopi Goldberg has invoked Trump’s name on “The View”, now she’s not moving to Canada if Donald Trump is elected president.
Stating on Wednesday’s show, “You know what, I’m not going anywhere, honey. This is my country. I’ve been here since the 1700s.”
Goldberg introduced the segment saying, “Donald Trump also said he’s motivated to win because Lena Dunham vowed to move to Canada if that happens and claims that I said so, too.”
What seems apparent is that Goldberg has been paying attention to how those media types latch on to Trump, the most obvious was the dust-up between Megyn Kelly and “The Donald” and how Kelly “milked” that incident for all it was worth…of course Kelly happens to be an excellent journalist, and not a frumpy “over-the-hell” celebrity.
In an interview on Fox News’s “Fox & Friends” on Monday, Trump said of Goldberg, “That would be a great, great thing for our country” if she moved to Canada.
Do you think Whoopi ever really intended to move to Canada if Trump won the presidency?
