Trump On Anderson Cooper Hosting Debates: ‘He’ll Be Very Biased’

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump had some harsh news for CNN news anchor Anderson Cooper.

In an interview with The Washington Post, Trump said that he thinks Cooper should never moderate a presidential debate, due to bias.

“I don’t think Anderson Cooper should be a moderator, because Anderson Cooper works for CNN and over the last couple of days, I’ve seen how Anderson Cooper behaves,” Trump told reporter Robert Costa. “He’ll be very biased, very biased. I don’t think he should be a moderator.”

Trump also asserted that Cooper openly wanted Hillary Clinton to win the presidential election, and thus should not be in charge of what should be an unbiased event.

“CNN is the Clinton News Network and Anderson Cooper, I don’t think he can be fair,” Trump noted.

This is not the first time Trump has hit Cooper with brash criticism.

According to RealClearPolitics, Trump had strong words for Cooper while being interviewed on CNN.

“Let me tell you. The people don’t trust you and the people don’t trust the media. And I understand why,” Trump said.

“Right. And politicians,” Cooper responded.

“With the media it’s, not all cases, some, some of the political media is great,” Trump replied. “And really honest. Even if they don’t want to want to be, they’re really honest. But I find that 60 percent, 70 percent of the political media is really, really dishonest.”

Unfortunately for Trump, Cooper and ABC’s Martha Raddatz will cover the town hall-style debate on Oct. 9.
