There are many lingering questions surrounding the attack on Sept. 11, 2001. While Americans hoped for clarity in the highly-anticipated release of the “28 pages” of the 9/11 Commission’s final report previously hidden from public view, the opposite effect became a reality — we have more unanswered questions now than ever.
In the report, which has been generally swept under the rug by mainstream news outlets, we learned that there was a high likelihood that the 9/11 hijackers had direct links to the government of Saudi Arabia, according to NPR.
“While in the United States, some of the Sept. 11 hijackers were in contact with, and received support or assistance from, individuals who may be connected to the Saudi government,” the report said.
Also, the pages said that intelligence indicated “that Saudi government officials in the United States may have other ties to Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups.”
Although the documents contained a bombshell lead, no final conclusion was determined by the group, formally designated the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States. Perhaps “political correctness” had something to do with it?
Abdullah Al-Saud, Saudi Ambassador to the United States, published a statement that thanked the U.S. for releasing the 28 pages, albeit not answering the incriminating points enclosed.
“Several government agencies, including the CIA and the FBI, have investigated the contents of the ’28 Pages’ and have confirmed that neither the Saudi government, nor senior Saudi officials, nor any person acting on behalf of the Saudi government provided any support or encouragement for these attacks,” he said.
“We hope the release of these pages will clear up, once and for all, any lingering questions or suspicions about Saudi Arabia’s actions, intentions, or long-term friendship with the United States,” Al-Saud concluded.
It should come at no surprise that the Saudi officials and representatives would attempt to blow off such a damning report.
Thanks to the global anti-truth effort perpetrated by the left, Americans may never know what really happened.
