Despite it being his prerogative, President Trump is taking an enormous amount of heat for firing FBI Director James Comey.
But, as usual, all that liberal outrage is just a thin veneer hiding a stupendous amount of hypocrisy.
Not only has a president fired his FBI director under contentious circumstances before – it last happened on the orders of Democrat golden boy Bill Clinton.
In 1993, Clinton fired then-FBI Director William Sessions, claiming that there was an “ethics” problem.
But Sessions was defiant, and told the media that he had been slandered and pushed out by Clinton.
“Because of the scurrilous attacks on me and my wife of 42 years, it has been decided by others that I can no longer be as forceful as I need to be in leading the F.B.I. and carrying out my responsibilities to the bureau and the nation,” he said at the time.
Just one day later, Vince Foster, personal attorney to the Clintons, and a man with a LOT of dirt on both Bill and Hillary, was found dead.
Had Sessions still been director of the FBI, you can be certain there would have been a MAJOR investigation into Foster’s death. Instead, the matter was quietly covered up.
Coincidence? Hardly.
