Lib’s Call Voter Fraud ‘Hoax’, Facts Say Otherwise

Share this:

Voter fraud is an extremely sensitive subject made all the more so as the majority of Liberal Progressives deny any such thing exists (at least outside of the minds of excitable right wingers). In that regard it is very much like UFO’s. If you are foolhardy enough to mention such a crazy idea the left is very well prepared to make you pay dearly for giving voice to it, or God forbid suggesting ways to prevent it! Mention the words “Voter ID” and you had best prepare yourself for pearl clutching and shocked gasps (and various other forms of feigned outrage) such as have not been seen since Donald Trump was found to have used a word years ago that is a substitute for CAT.  Mention such a thing in mixed (politically mixed that is) company and you must WANT to be called a RACIST

In fact the very prestigious Brennan Center has taken it upon itself to dispel the notion that Voter Fraud exists and that it may be flourishing https://www.brennancenter.org/issues/voter-fraud they begin by explaining that Voter Fraud is a “Myth” in fact the article begins with a disclaimer entitled just that “The Myth of Voter Fraud” it states that

“It is important to protect the integrity of our elections. But we must be careful not to undermine free and fair access to the ballot in the name of preventing voter fraud.

The Brennan Center’s ongoing examination of voter fraud claims reveal that voter fraud is very rare, voter impersonation is nearly non-existent, and much of the problems associated with alleged fraud in elections relates to unintentional mistakes by voters or election administrators. Our report “The Truth About Voter Fraud” reveals most allegations of fraud turn out to be baseless — and that of the few allegations remaining, most reveal election irregularities and other forms of election misconduct.”

Well that’s reassuring isn’t it? The article goes on under the heading “Debunking the Voter Fraud Myth” and speaks about the current election cycle

“Claims have circulated this election season about the extent of voter fraud. But putting rhetoric aside to look at the facts makes clear fraud is vanishingly rare, and does not happen on a scale even close to that necessary to “rig” an election”.

Strip away all the glitzy language and we are left with the statement  “But we must be careful not to undermine free and fair access to the ballot in the name of preventing voter fraud” this is an almost gentle reminder that people who want to establish Voter ID laws are most likely going to hell.

On the other side of the equation, we have people such as Guy Benson who writes for Town hall Magazine.  In a recent article Guy pointed out that despite it’s supposed ‘non-existence’ voter fraud sure happens a lot http://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2016/08/19/surprise-nonexistent-voter-fraud-strikes-in-four-states-n2206947 In his article Mr. Benson correctly pointed out that “While some on the Right do overplay the threat and extent of fraud — an impulse that can feed counter-productiveconspiratorial thinking — the notion that it’s a totally fake problem is just patently false” Which explains the current situation in a clear, concise manner. At least it did.

What changed things was an organization called Project Veritas.  Founded by James O’Keeffe of ACORN fame (or infamy depending on which side of the aisle you occupy) Project Vertitas exists (in O’Keeffe’s words) to “Investigate and expose corruption, dishonesty, self-dealing, waste, fraud, and other misconduct in both public and private institutions in order to achieve a more ethical and transparent society”  As O’Keeffe has been known to do, he released a video.  Not just any old video either. This video consisted of the NYC Democratic Election Commissioner unequivocally stating that not only is Voter Fraud real, it is alive and well and plans exist to utilize it to impact this  election year.  The video can be seen in it’s entirety here http://projectveritas.com/2016/10/11/hidden-camera-nyc-democratic-election-commissioner-they-bus-people-around-to-vote/

Interestingly enough despite Donald Trump proclaiming loud and clear that this election “is rigged” this video has gotten a lot less play than you would think. Perhaps the fact that Voter Fraud is usually a topic of discussion after an election rather than before it what is causing the masses to hold off on making acquisitions. Given the fact that the Clinton campaign has already made the old time “Department of Dirty Tricks” look like rank amateurs, you would think that it would be best to get ahead of this thing as  anything after the fact will just sound like the Republican party after Romney’s loss to Obama and won’t change anything.

If sunlight is indeed the best disinfectant, God knows that the Clinton campaign could use an awful lot of sunlight – and fast!
